As you all know by now, I adore weathered pieces of furniture. Being here in Arizona, making this house our home, calls for a few activities I love more than others – shopping for used furniture. Here I come, Craig’s list! When I saw this piece I had this feeling it would be something I loved and sure enough, it was. The splurge of $40 and this stands now in the middle of our vast kitchen, uniting the slickness of black granite counter tops and the coolness of the stainless steel appliances, making the kitchen this warm place to come to. The spot that’s waiting for you to plop the basket full of the farmers’ market goodies you’ve just brought, right there, in the middle of it, and to sit down to have a breather at last from the heat of the Arizona summer.

Nie jest już to żadną tajemnicą, że zakochana jestem w meblach “z przeszłością” – starych i sponiewieranych. Jest takim miejscem, w kierunku którego, bezwiednie, kierujesz swoje pierwsze kroki po wejściu do domu. Miejscem, gdzie składasz torby z zakupami i miejscem, przy którym zasiadasz by odetchnąć od arizońskiego upału.
